Nicola is a Partner in our Employment Department. She advises employer and employee clients on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious employment issues. Nicola typically represents clients from the music, media and entertainment industries and is also experienced in acting for banks, funds and other financial institutions.
Nicola’s contentious experience spans complex, high value cases on areas including TUPE, termination of employment and discrimination. She also advises on matters such as employee-relations issues (including disciplinary and grievance issues), employee termination arrangements, bonus and remuneration issues including share and equity related structures, the employment aspects of corporate transactions and the drafting and negotiation of the full range of employment documentation (including contracts, policies, handbooks and settlement agreements).
Nicola completed her training contract and subsequently practiced as an employment solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, a Magic Circle international law firm. During this time, she undertook a client secondment at BAA/Ferrovial. Nicola then spent over a decade practising employment law at Harbottle & Lewis LLP, a West-End Media and Entertainment firm.
Nicola has also lectured in Employment Law and Corporate Law at the University of Law.
Nicola is passionate about creating a family friendly workplace, and has published articles on this subject in legal journals.
Nicola is an active member of the Employment Lawyers’ Association.
