Andy McPhail

Andy joined the New Artist Department at Russells as a Senior Associate in 2026.

Prior to joining Russells Andy trained and qualified at a boutique music law firm in London, before moving to another leading artist law firm where he continued to build his practice focusing largely on new artists.

While studying for a degree in politics and economics at SOAS in London, Andy gained experience in the music industry through his work for independent record labels and management companies.

Andy’s deep rooted passion for discovering new music naturally led him to develop a practice with a focus on guiding up-and-coming talent through the early years of their career and beyond.  His eclectic taste in music is mirrored by a diverse roster of artists through which he has established an extensive network of industry contacts.

Alongside his artist practice, Andy acts for a handful of A&R driven independent labels, managers, and music industry professionals.
