From Garage Band to Global Brand: Tuning Up for Success

Mark SandersAlex Cole, Jamie Brazier and Henry Priestley will be joining Music Technology UK to provide 3 online workshops, on sector-specific topics giving legal insights to help music tech startups build the foundations for success.

During the second interactive workshop on Thursday 17th October 2024 they will seek to answer the following questions:

  • What should we be thinking about when dealing with and contracting with customers and users?
  • As a music technology business, what factors should we consider when licensing (or acquiring) third party rights, including music rights?
  • Are we in a regulated industry e.g. crypto / AI, and if so, what steps do we need to take to ensure we are compliant?
  • Are there any restrictions on how we can use data in our business?
  • How should we be chasing (or delaying) debts? Treating debts as shields and swords.
  • What should we be thinking about when dealing with disputes or complaints (e.g. regulators, customers, third parties)?
