Amy’s Yard – Amy Winehouse Foundation

For the second year running Simon Esplen and Francesca Badowska were pleased to present a ‘masterclass’ in ‘music industry legals and contracts’ to the May-July 2015 class of the Amy Winehouse Foundation’s music programme ‘Amy’s Yard’. This 12-week programme supports talented young people to gain the confidence and necessary skills to enable them to become self-sustaining music artists. Throughout the programme participants work in Amy’s own studio one to one with a professional producer to create an original track. They also attend a series of Master Classes delivered by current industry professionals alongside Russells, from companies such as Island Records, Metropolis Music and MTV. Simon and Francesca were very impressed with the quality of the group and the level of engagement. Francesca also attended the group’s end of course showcase and very much enjoyed watching their performances. We wish them all well for the future.
