Omer qualified into the Russells Litigation team in March 2024, having completed his training contract here.

Omer has acted for a wide variety of clients (including both individuals and companies) in the media and entertainment industry and has experience in a wide range of complex commercial disputes. His recent High Court case highlights include:

  • A claim brought against Universal Music Group, Inc. relating to the application of royalty provisions in a licence agreement to exploitation by streaming.
  • A copyright infringement claim, which was struck out in its entirety, brought against Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber relating to the song “Memory” from the musical production “Cats”.
  • A High Court partnership dispute between two artist managers.
  • An ongoing High Court defamation claim brought against a world famous musician.
