Sam studied Law at the University of Warwick and prior to joining Russells undertook an internship at the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).

Sam joined Russells as a paralegal in October 2014 with his training contract commencing shortly thereafter. Upon qualification in 2016, Sam joined the firm’s Corporate department and assists Chris Gossage, Ryan Vince and Ally Horn on a variety of corporate matters including acquisitions and disposals, and shareholder and company secretarial arrangements.

As part of Sam’s training contract he undertook a secondment in the legal department at Warner Bros Records UK where he worked on a wide range of matters, in particular advising on producer and mixer agreements and recording agreements. Throughout Sam’s time at the firm he has also worked across a broad range of areas within the Commercial Department advising clients in the music, sport (where Sam has a keen interest) and the wider entertainment industry.
