Karl Dembicki

Karl joined Russells in 2019 and Heads up the Private Wealth Department.

Karl advises individuals on their wills, trusts, and estate planning, focusing on wealth protection, privacy, and UK taxation. Karl has built up an extensive network of trusted lawyers in overseas jurisdictions, particularly the US, which he calls upon when structuring cross-border estate plans for clients. Karl also deals with the administration and winding up of Estates.

Karl is a Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) member. He s a member of the panel of experts for the STEP Private Client Awards and a former committee member of the Mental Capacity Steering Committee. In 2016, he received a STEP Worldwide Excellence Award. Karl is the Immediate Past President of the Cambridgeshire Law Society.

Previously a partner at firms in Cambridge and London, Karl has been educated across Europe – at KU Leuven, where he obtained a degree in theology and the Angelicum, Rome, where he was awarded a doctorate in canon law summa cum laude.
