He represents a variety of clients including record labels, music artists and bands, professional athletes, publishers, managers, agencies, and others throughout the industry. He advises on a range of legal matters including contractual issues arising from media-related agreements, copyright disputes, royalty and accounting claims, defamation, breach of confidence, privacy, reputation and crisis management, partnership disputes following group splits, and all manner of disputes between players, agents and clubs. He also advises on disputes involving technologies and platforms, including media on-demand services.

In addition, Jay has an extensive commercial litigation practice. He is highly experienced in handling disputes involving complex contractual issues, professional negligence, contentious trusts, insurance, fraud, property, and partnership and company issues. Over the years, he has acted for a wide range of clients in the business world including private banks, hedge funds, brands, developers, hotels, technology companies, advertising agencies, property agents, insurers, as well as individuals facing legal challenges.
