Anna Ling


Anna is a solicitor in the Film, TV and Theatre and Book Publishing departments at Russells. Anna advises clients across the creative industries on a range of commercial matters, including all aspects of film and TV development, production and distribution, as well as every stage of a book’s life, be it agency and publishing agreements, copyright protection, book-to-screen deals or other rights acquisitions and disposals.

Anna studied law at the London School of Economics before training and qualifying at Shearman & Sterling LLP, where she advised on English and US law matters and completed a secondment at Discovery, Inc. (now Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc.), later forming part of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s corporate team. She joins the team at Russells from Penguin Random House UK, where as a commissioning editor she worked with award-winning bestselling authors and helped launch important debut titles across the Allen Lane, Penguin Classics and Particular Books imprints.

She is dual-qualified as an attorney in New York and as a solicitor in England and Wales.
